In a recent email, Author Vallean J. was informed that a photo of her and her books were featured in the December issue of the Alabama Public Library Service (APLS) publication. The government-based publication highlights events held throughout the year to support libraries across the state and expand access to resources for communities across Alabama. 

As a recap of some of the events held throughout the year, including Birmingham Public Library's annual Local Author's Expo, which Vallean attended alongside fellow Authors. To have her image used as a visual representation of what the event embodies is deeply meaningful to her, and she is beyond grateful to have such level of recognition. 

While it may not be a direct mention, her presence and her books speak for themselves in this statewide publication. Vallean is honored and appreciative of the acknowledgment and the continued support of Alabama's library community.
