For seven-year-old Valiyah, October 7 marks a new chapter in her journey as an author.
Her latest accomplishment, Liyah and the Lost Magical Candy Bucket, has officially released today—giving Liyah her first standalone book and her first opportunity to co-author a book alongside her mother, author and publisher Vallean J.
The idea for Liyah and the Lost Magical Candy Bucket began with Liyah, who chose the direction of the concept and helped provide the creative spark that eventually became the finished book. Her mother then worked alongside her to develop the idea into a complete story.
For Vallean, the project became a milestone of its own. It was her first time co-authoring a book, and she was able to experience that process alongside her daughter.
As release day approached, the excitement between the two was unmistakable. The book was finished, the idea had become a reality, and Liyah was ready to share it with the world.
For Liyah, this release represents more than another publishing credit. It is her first standalone book, a story born from her own imagination and brought to life through collaboration with her mother.
And for Vallean, it is a proud reminder that sometimes the best creative partnerships are found right at home.
From published young author to co-author, Liyah’s latest chapter is officially underway.
Liyah and the Lost Magical Candy Bucket is now available in ebook, paperback, and audio coming soon.
